				Jill Kuczmarski is a Rhinelander, Wisconsin, native who currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. It is Kuczmarski's love of folktales and mythology that led her to create Tales From The Trees. The Hodag, an eclectically popular animal, is  known mostly to tourists and locals of northern Wisconsin as a fierce beast with a taste for white bulldogs. Tales is Kuczmarski's attempt to summarize the Hodag's past, present, and future in 12 full color pages while adjusting the tale to make the lore more accessible to children. A Monster Misunderstanding is Kuczmarski's second self-published book. This new tale was written to further explore the legend, explaining in story format how a hodag became friends with a bulldog. Next on the list - an animation! Kuczmarski also works full-time as a graphic designer for a large law firm in Chicago.
